Springfield Sclerotherapy Treatment
Spider veins can make you feel self-conscious and want to keep yourself covered up. Commonly occurring on the legs, unsightly spider veins are easy to treat. Dr. Glen Brooks offers sclerotherapy for Hartford and Springfield patients.
To find out more about our vein therapies, request a consultation online with Dr. Brooks or call his office on the Longmeadow Town Green at (413) 565-4400.
We offer sclerotherapy to eliminate superficial veins that detract from your appearance. Commonly treated areas include:
- Backs of thighs
- Insides of ankles and knees
- Face and cheeks
We might recommend laser skin rejuvenation instead of, or in addition to, your vein therapy to more completely resolve your concerns. During your consultation, we will examine the areas you'd like to improve and recommend a customized treatment plan that is tailored to you.
What to Expect
Our vein treatments are performed as a simple office procedure. Topical anesthesia is usually not necessary, but is available for enhanced comfort if desired. During sclerotherapy a solution is injected directly into the unwanted veins causing them to gradually collapse and be absorbed by the body. Usually, you will need to wear compression stockings initially after treatment to help the veins collapse completely.
Your improvements from sclerotherapy will appear gradually over several weeks as the treated veins are absorbed by the body. Our patients are thrilled to be able to wear shorts, skirts, and swimsuits free from the self-consciousness caused by unattractive veins.
