Firm, tight, smooth skin looks attractive and youthful, whether it’s on your face, neck, arms, or body. If you’re looking for a way to do away with laxity, crepiness, and thinning with minimal discomfort and downtime, consider Morpheus8 radiofrequency (RF) microneedling. People from Springfield and throughout Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut trust Dr. Glen Brooks and his experienced team to help them look more youthful and rejuvenated.

What Is Morpheus8 RF Microneedling?

Morpheus8 is an advanced microneedling treatment that is safe for light and dark skin tones on most areas, including the face, neck, arms, stomach, and above the knees. Women and men choose it to correct a variety of skin conditions such as:

  • Lines, creases, and wrinkles
  • Crepiness
  • Laxity
  • Thinning
  • Acne scars and other scarring
  • Stretch marks

At your private consultation, Dr. Brooks will examine your concerns and determine if Morpheus8 can provide the improvements you want. Advanced sagging may require a surgical procedure such as a facelift, tummy tuck, or arm lift.

How Does Morpheus8 Work?

Regular microneedling makes tiny punctures in the upper layers of the skin to trigger a healing response that renews collagen production. New collagen makes the skin firmer, tighter, and smoother. Morpheus8 takes microneedling to the next level by releasing RF energy from the tips of the needles to reach the deeper layers of the skin and the underlying fat. The depth and intensity of treatment can be adjusted for different areas and patient needs.

Similar to fractional lasers like MOXI™, Morpheus8 leaves alternating pinpoints of the tissue untreated for faster healing and minimal downtime, while the entire treatment area benefits from the anti-aging effects.

Can Morpheus8 Be Used for a Nonsurgical Facelift?

People with mild to moderate laxity of the lower face and neck may be good candidates for a nonsurgical facelift with EmbraceRF. This treatment combines Morpheus8 with FaceTite, both made by InMode. FaceTite applies RF energy on the surface of the skin and underneath to tighten skin, increase collagen production, and remodel underlying fat.

What To Expect

Morpheus8 is an office procedure that takes just 30 to 45 minutes for the face and neck once topical numbing cream is applied and takes effect. To ease any jitters, patients have the option of including Pro-Nox® (a modern type of laughing gas), which delivers a blend of inhalable oxygen and nitrous oxide. Dr. Brooks performs the treatment by placing the handpiece on the skin while the tiny needles quickly penetrate the surface and release RF energy. He adjusts the depth of treatment as needed and moves the handpiece along the skin until the entire area is treated.

Recovery

There will be some swelling, tenderness, and redness in the treated areas initially. Patients are typically ready to return to work and daily activities within 1 to 2 days. Makeup should not be applied for the first 24 hours.

Results

While you may notice an immediate glow in treated areas, it takes about a month for collagen growth to kick in. The most noticeable results develop in months 3 to 6. Firming and tightening continue for 6 months to a year as more collagen is produced.

Is One Morpheus8 Treatment Enough?

While some patients attain their desired results with a single Morpheus8 treatment, most need a series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Final results develop several weeks after the last treatment as additional collagen firms and tightens the skin.
