Meet Dr. Glen Brooks

If you ask Dr. Glen Brooks about what sets him apart from other board-certified plastic surgeons in and around  Springfield, MA, he emphasizes the importance of having a caring, professional, and knowledgeable staff. His Harvard training, more than 25 years of experience, and referrals of patients whose expectations were exceeded certainly help, he says, “But, it’s my staff and the dedication to customer care that makes me look good.”

A longtime fixture in the Longmeadow, Massachusetts, community, Dr. Brooks established Aesthetic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Spa on the Green in 1992 with the vision of providing world-class cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in a friendly and familiar environment.

Path to Plastic Surgery

Dr. Brooks enrolled at the University of Rochester School of Medicine after earning an applied mathematics degree at Northwestern University. It was during medical school, while doing a plastic surgery rotation, that he decided to become a plastic surgeon.

“I observed a surgeon performing breast reconstruction using the patient’s own tissue and thought it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen,” he says.

After earning his medical degree, Dr. Brooks then completed a general surgery residency at Rhode Island Hospital and Brown University. He followed that with a plastic surgery residency at Harvard University, treating patients at New England Deaconess Hospital and Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

On the Leading Edge

Dr. Brooks is at the forefront of the aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery field, offering state-of-the-art procedures and techniques. As a long-time assistant professor of surgery at Tufts University of Medicine in Boston, Dr. Brooks helps to train the next generation of surgeons.
